Is it bad to give less than 2 weeks notice before a last day? Our manual says "at least 2 weeks" but I booked a ticket to travel for a family event leaving on June 10th and my goal was to have another job by then so I could permanently move, too. In order for me to give 2 weeks I have to let them know by May 26th but if I don't hear back from a job by then...I'd either have to give less than 2 weeks notice or book a ticket to come back just to give 2 weeks and then would fly back.

I graduated with my Ph.D. last year and have been in the US since 2013 (MS and then PhD). I’ve been in OPT since last year and recently got the STEM extension. How do you get over not being at your old weight or know that your new weight IS the weight you’re supposed to be? Throughout my early-mid 20s, I was 132-142, only attaining the lower end w/unhealthy dieting habits and excessive exercise. I went to India for Visa stamping and my Visa was issued last Thursday. However, vfs hasn’t returned my passport since and the status keeps showing ‘Origination Scan’. Their customer service is barely a service at all. They say they have no info on the passport.
