Question on two week notice. I have two weeks of pto I will be taking, and then immediately after have my Big 4 in person senior associate trainings. I am going to put in my notice, but is there any way to put it so I can stay with the firm to go to trainings? If I put in notice while on parental leave, that would cover the period until the first day after training, will they likely just let me go on the spot? I would like to have the in person CPE credits for my CPA renewal next year.

No way to know; there are expenses associated with trainings that your firm may not want to incur for you if you’ve given notice. The only way to ensure you go to the trainings is to put in notice after.

That is what I was thinking. Feels like the best option is to work with new job to push out start date so I can ensure I can get the trainings

I’ve heard them axing you in public if you’re going to a competitor

Hoping it will help that I’m going to industry.

I recently left the Army about a year ago. Did a DoD SkillBridge fellowship and accepted the full time offer because I was scared of not having a paycheck. About a year later, still at the company and I hate it. Don’t feel purpose and I’m working with recent college grads as my peers. How do I get a job that takes advantage of my experience, whereas mine currently views me as starting over?

Just started a new job less than a month ago in the tech sector. It was the industry I was fixated on when leaving for. However I realise that I don't think I can cope with the fast paced, lack of wlb, with no support - it's really impacting my mental health already....

I feel like a failure, but recognise it might be beneficial to cut loss and quit. Has anyone been in this situation?

Any advice?
