Clients understanding of cloud in general. I think we need more details on what you mean by cloud managed services. That is vague. Like are you an MSP ? And they’re looking to move on-prem infrastructure to public cloud like AWS and then have you manage it ? Is there also a design and delivery aspect to this ? Or more so they move all their shit and you pretty much keep it up ?

Hi, I joined Deloitte USI on November 8. I believe that I will be eligible for hike for June 2022 (on pro-rated basis). Can you please suggest how to go about raising a snapshot? Is snapshot mandatory to be eligible for hike? I see that the final snapshot deadline is Dec 10, but my project is just getting started now. Not sure how can I take this up with my project manager, looks too early to ask for such things. Please suggest.

What’s the worst reaction you have seen a client have to typos or syntactical errors in work product? Everyone loves to say “typos are all clients see”, “perfection is part of the job” etc. But have you actually experienced really negative client reactions based on typos? Honestly asking. I’m a 5th year and while I’ve definitely seen clients notice typos, the only time I ever saw one mad about it involved a startup founder who was predisposed to complain about everything for discounts

I dont necessarily fit in this bucket and wished I had known the information you all have at your fingertips. I believe my picture would be totally different. I'm 60+ and will retire in the next yr. I think it is great that you all are doing well even for the perceived late starters. I started seriously saving in my early 50s. Over that time I have 2 mortgages no other debt and a nice nest egg. Curious though, how are you all going to cover medical in early retirement?

Hope everyone had a good start of the week! I have a quick question regarding MBB referal. I’ve been working for almost a year at a life sciences consulting firm with a PhD in STEM. Recently I've been considering to move to MBB due to project types, team dynamics, client interaction, etc. I've talked to friends in McKinsey and bcg (former case partners), they are very willing to refer me but they are relative new. And they recommend me to network with partners to get better chance.

Does contributing to 401k beyond the match make sense? You can’t touch it until you’re 59.5. If i were to invest on my own in various etfs Ill pay the 22% tax upfront and then cap gains would be 15% when i sell. I’d have freedom to use that money to invest in real estate. when i pull my yearly salary out in retirement I’d Atleast be in the 22% bracket if not higher. Since the last 3 dem presidents have increased spending like crazy i expect massive tax hikes in the future. Am i wrong?
