Question time!

If you (as a client) had to rate your customer support performance from 1 - 10, what score would you give to yourself?

A 8, in general I am a person with a lot of patience but sometimes I lose it and I don't give the best service.

I would give myself a score of 10. I always try to be available to help my clients and I always do my best to resolve any issues they may have.

I would rate myself at a 9. I am always willing to help and I always try to get back to people as soon as possible. I do my best to resolve any issue the customer is having.

I would give myself a 10. I always try to be available to answer any questions or help resolve any issues that come up. I am always quick to respond to emails and always do my best to help in whatever way possible.

I would give myself a 7.5. I strive to provide the best customer support possible, but I can always improve. I'm constantly working to make my customer support process better and more efficient.

Weeeell, I'm a little biased. I'd give myself an 8/10. I'm good at what I do, but I know my attitude has become more cold over the pandemic. Some customers are just so cruel, it's hard to want to help people any more.

If I'm being completely honest, a 6. I try to help customers, but I hate the company so much. I really do the bare minimum.

I am project manager in clinical research industry (CRO). After earning PhD, I gave up my science dream to take a more stable job. After slowly climbing the ladders, I feel like I finally got a seat at the table. Half the days I like the hustle, but now I miss being creative. I want to take more brainstorming, decision making responsibilities but I don’t see that in the career path for PM. Career path usually goes like this- Sr PM, Director l, Sr Director, and so on. But all do same work.

Would love some thoughts on what title structure makes the most sense for my agency /translates within the advertising industry. Our Project Management dept was pretty flat until recently. We’ve build out a real team — I’ll be getting promoted to an associate director level (I’d say that — that’s not what we call it) — and I want to make sure this title makes sense. Now would be the time to change it within our dept if we’re ever going to. Currently we have: (see comments)

Background check question. Had a grad school project on my resume with a company. Project was 8 months work with company and 3 months of prep training. This was considered a volunteer role and I have no W2s or anything associated.

On my BGC I listed the 11 months listed above. My previous resume listed this under my education, so I never had exact dates. Grad school was several years back.

Q1 is this kosher to list 11 months?
Q2 anything I should do to clarify?
Q3 does MBB care about vol?

Hello,

I am currently a Health Admin Fellow at a leading healthcare system. I am in a phase during my fellowship where I will have to start searching for a role within the system in the next 3 months.

I was wondering what kind of role would be best step forward for an admin fellow.

I was offered a project coordinator role but feel I should not accept the same without looking at other options. I aim to seek out a project manager role and was wondering if this would be the wrong step forward.

⚠️Toxicity Alert ⚠️

My previous manager would track us by hours daily, made a fuss everytime anything stretched and guilt us for that and the unplanned leave too unless it was COVID. Hinted him a lot of time, this is problematic but apparently he considered it "standard practice for agile".

Now 8/10 teammates have switched within < 1 year of project start (6-7 months with him) which tbh had good work in our opinion and even team was fun to work with even though none of us ever met in person.

Partners or whomever can help me understand about billing and hours. To keep things simple, let’s say you only have one staff to work 1,700 billable hours a year on a $60k salary and you have only one job that and the rate charged to the client is $300/hour and an projected hours budget of 1,700 hours. So ideally you would have revenue of $510k. If the staff takes less time partners make less money and if they take more time partners make more money while the staff keeps the same salary?

Testing TV files for Extreme Reach

Is there a website or portal you can use to test TV files before submitting? I have a client who handles their own traffic, so anytime Extreme Reach rejects or even questions something that is not a problem, it gets kicked back and a bunch of clients get CC'd on an email saying: "this failed QA."

At every other agency I've worked on, we would be able to handle any kickback or tweaks internally with zero client involvement. I'd love a way to test files.

So I recently started a position with Fox. When it was presented to me in interview, I was told I would be working aligned with Fox Sports & Entertainment, not so much News. Now that I’m here, I’m seeing everything I’ll be doing is with the News team & makes me uncomfortable. No diversity, outdated software & process.
Financially, it’s the best position I been in. But mentally in this environment, it’s depressing & slow. Nothing innovative or engaging. What would you do?
