Depends on the project and partner preferences, but what you describe above sounds very familiar for most projects

Same

really depends on project - short term cases partner can join daily calls, long term projects partner only checks in with team every other week

Damn I see how it is

(S&) Depends on the partner. Some are very hands on and will join every daily check-in / check-out. Some will only do it once a week. Some only make an appearance on the kickoff and readout calls.

OP - who is leading the case team meetings if it’s not the team lead/manager? Are you saying that is partner scheduled and driven? If so I would say that I’d very different from how we operate as our partners very much expect to be managed up and be given information without having to ask for it.

Thanks - Manager drives this but Partners are sometimes very hand on. Checking if elsewhere it is the case that partners(MDP) will be so hand on.

Outside of pressure cooker engagements like DDs, you'd expect the EM and Principal to set the cadence for upward updates. My experience in two different firms is partners want updates to be pushed to them rather than pulled.

Currently in outpatient ortho PT. Been in the career for several years and I’ve enjoyed it but I’m wanting to look for other opportunities outside of patient care. No interest in doing a residency or teaching. I’ve been thinking of doing an MBA but unsure of what opportunities out there such as admin roles, ortho sales, consulting, etc. I’ve taken several business classes in undergrad and enjoyed them. Looking for advice on career transition and whether an MBA is worth it. Thanks!

Hello Sharks,
I have been shortlisted for AC role and my HR discussion is scheduled next week.

1. Need some insights on the maximum and minimum ctc (fixed and variable) that can be offered for 3 yoe (all relevant) . My current ctc is 7.2 (6.5 fixed) . Tech stack - Big data and AWS developer.

2. Is there any joining bonus. If yes , what should be the ask.
Any inputs will be very helpful for me to go with my expectations to the HR. Thanks!

Have new analyst on the team with an MBA and project experience. After working with them for 2 months it’s apparent that there are 0 consulting skills (excel, outlook, PowerPoint) and they freeze up even on internal calls. They are young and coachable, and I offered to put time into that. However at a company event they made no effort to get to know the team and chose to stick to their familiar colleagues in their home office. I’d like to ask for a new resource but interested in feedback.

Any Deloitte SM or + here? The way we do proposals in service ops is absurd. No communication, siloed teams, analysts writing technical approaches, disconnected leadership. Is this par for the course?
