What is needed for a recruiter to open an email and click in the portfolio? How do someone stand out?

I am a 2nd yr insurance defense attorney thinking about making the switch to transactional law. Can any transactional attorneys (esp those who switched from litigation) comment on 1) how difficult it was to switch, 2) if you enjoy your work more and 3) if the work life balance is better?

Have any of you been invited to be a panelist/speaker at your school? Got invited to be one but worried I’ll give bad advice and not make a good impression. I’m only one year out of school and don’t feel like I have much to say that would be helpful. Should I still do it?
