You have to sleep in professional clothes in case a MD walks into your room while you’re in bed
1. No and 2. Yes
Normal clothing for both. The only time you'd need to wear business clothes while traveling is if you're headed straight to the client site, casual clothes are acceptable in all other circumstances.
Casual’s fine in both situations.

Agree with the posters above, would only add that you should wear clothes that you're comfortable with your colleagues seeing you in.
So, would avoid t-shirts with strong messages on them, pajama pants, etc., or being dressed in workout clothes going into a nice restaurant. There's a wide variety of casual attire, just use your best judgment.
Casual is totally fine and they will be wearing casual clothing as well. I did have an associate once that walked around the hotel in her pajamas though, even wore them to work in the lobby with some other associates AND to dinner in the hotel restaurant slippers and all ... a very nice restaurant... so odd... just make sure they are clothes you would wear into any normal business 🙈
My reaction exactly. Legit like satin with fur edges pajamas. Multiple different kinds. I had no idea until another associate mentioned it to me after the first few days.
Dress for comfort on travel days, particularly if not going to the client. Obviously use judgment, but casual clothes are fine. If you ran into a client at the hotel while on the way to the gym they wouldn’t expect you to be in a blazer.

I always dress “business casual” when traveling to client meetings. You never know when your luggage might be lost. I wear something that I wouldn’t be embarrassed to wear to the client site if needed, with a little explanation (jeans with a blazer, for example). When in the hotel I’ll usually just stay in my work clothes or dress them down a notch. This also helps with having to pack less things, travel light!
My guy, why is your luggage getting lost? Why are you not traveling in a hand carry?
At a previous company I traveled the night before with a junior team member. She changed into a sweatshirt and leggings for the evening flight. I was business casual- pants and sweater. We ran into the Head of our Business for North America (fortune 100 company) on the flight who I knew and had worked with. I introduced the junior member. When we landed the Head whispered to me..”who was that again? She’s on your team? Wasn’t sure if she was just a friend you ran into”. I knew it was because of how she was dressed traveling on company $.
Sorry the Head of North America was a woman. 3 women involved...not sexist . Funny how you Assumed! the head was a man and the post was sexist 😂. Any leggings aren’t appropriate.

I just... wear it! Never had a problem with it getting ruined. Pick a travel-friendly fabric, like wool or a knit blazers. Would not travel in linen or cotton blazer.
What do you do with your blazer on a plane to not ruin them?
