Hi all, does anyone know of any recruiters or hiring managers that work in Affirm Inc. I've been applying for a couple of jobs with them . The role I have applied for I know lam a extraordinary fit for
100% and can help the company/ department succeed. I have a good deal of experience with this role and would love to talk to a recruiter or a hiring manager more about this. If anyone
could reach out to me if you have any information on that I would greatly appreciate it.

Try reading (modern) novels that contain a lot of dialogue. It will help you hear in your head how the language is spoken while, most importantly, seeing it in writing. Do that for long enough, and you'll begin to see your own writing improve--even legal writing. (FWIW, my undergrad is in English.).

I believe the most important aspect of writing in general is knowing how to organize your thoughts. When I tutored students in high school English classes who had never written papers before, I always had them outline their paper before they wrote it. This gave their writing a proper structure, and it enabled them to avoid many common writing mistakes.
Strunk & White is a classic and a quick read.
A1 is on point. For what it's worth, I'm a native English-speaker, but legal writing is its own art form I had to learn. I got decent at it by reading SCOTUS decisions and the actual briefs and amici associated with those decisions for what is considered "the best", but just reading case law and briefs in general will help. I took this approach and read ECJ cases to learn legal French/improve my French generally for work. Reading works! Who knew?! Lol
