I’m a C with a salary in the mid 80’s and up for promotion. I feel this is pretty low compared to my peers. Is it likely that I will have a higher salary increase than my peers?
Thinking about getting into valuations. Anyone have any insights about this path in Big4 and in industry? Specifically I’m wondering: 1) what’s the scope of work like at Big 4? (Is the service line split into industry sector groups, or do some groups do Valuation for tangibles and another does intangibles) 2) how are the hours like? Working 9am - 3am consistently? 3) what exit opportunities exit after the Big 4 experience? 4) how does Compensationfor HCOL seniors/ manager look this year?
Do you have a skills section on your resume? How high level (i.e. brand strategy, research) or granular (journey mapping) do you go? Bonus points for examples that've wrangled the laundry list nicely
Moving from a boutique (<30 employees, MBB competitor) to the strategy practice of a Big 4. Have only worked for boutiques in the past, so I’m expecting there to be some major differences in terms of working style. What are the major differences and ‘watch outs’ you would point out to me? Could be anything from culture, to red tape, to compliance etc.
Hello cyber team! Can anyone help suggesting sys integrator/implementation firms that are focussed primarily on cloud and devsecops? Also do they match big 4 salaries to some extent? Tia!
Anyone here able to help with what the Mid level salary range in Miami would be? Also senior if possible, thank you in advance
How difficult will it be to switch to the commercial consulting practice of another Big 4 firm coming from Deloitte’s Federal consulting practice?
What are typical entry levels for consulting managers from the big 4 and EM/PL from MBB at Google? L5/L6 ?
What’s a standard big 4 notice period - 2 weeks? I want to make sure no bridges are burned due to a short notice period.
If layoffs would need to happen, how would they look like in a B4? What percentages? what levels? What criteria would they use to lay off people? What is the probability of this happening this year?
Account 🐟: How long were you an AAE before you got promoted? City/salary would help too 😊
To all current and former 1st yr associate sell side traders, what do/did you make total comp first year?
Deloitte federal 🐟 what is salary range for SC?
Just told my fairly new bf how much I make and he makes 3 times of how much I’m making right now. I had a big career setback because of covid and my salary hasn’t increased for a while. He cares about money and being rich so much I feel like he might dump me at some point. I won’t be upset if he does because that’s on him, but I feel so insecure about how ridiculously poorly I’m doing in life:(. Just wanted to let it out
Health check - as analytics consultants/dat scientists, do you have a seat at the table at your firms? Do your firms see/treat you as first or second class citizens? What changes have you noticed ..
New SMs how was the bonus in your promotion year? Fixed promo + performance? What % of base?
As an entry level analyst is it better to enroll in the Pre-Tax or Roth 401k ? What are the benefits of each?
As I think through my undergrad experience, I realized that I did nothing remarkable. “So few so” that I don’t know what to write for the essay. Many of my peers gained valuable leadership experiences at various clubs or organizations. But I only had a year-long IB internship. Now I am in consulting and that IB experience seems to be more irrelevant. How dare I compete with the other wonderkids?
Any advice for someone looking to transition into a full HR Generalist role from Recruiting. I’m currently a Campus Recruiter with about 5 years of HR experience (Coordinator- Higher Ed). I received my PHR certification in September 2020 and sitting for my SHRM-CP in two weeks. I’m having a hard time transitioning into a full Generalist position.
4YOE post-UG all in strategy consulting. Finally deciding to get out for tech. Current TC ~220K. How realistic is it to stay in the comp range (no technical skills)?
My husband is a director in the industry with 12 yrs of exp. Currently 36 yrs old. Sick of his industry and wants to get an MBA. Told him go for Exec MBA but he thinks its less prestigious so...
Thank the Lord this is my penultimate week traveling. ATL security has gone from bad to a damned nightmare in the past month.
Any strong thoughts/opinion about nontenured teachers opting out of joining the union their first 2-3 years? Good idea? Bad idea? It’s good to have community and solidarity, but it’s a also lot of money to some young adults... and if they’re non-renewed, there’s really nothing the union can do. My student teacher asked me and I figured I’d get the opinions of those who have experience on either side. Thanks!
Whats the range for a senior manager at Zoom
Made my first big, client-facing mistake today. Almost made it a year without one, but alas. Embarrassed and nervous about fallout, especially in the time of layoffs. Say a little prayer for me.
Is it weird to wear a pinstripe suit to an interview? I gained a little weight and it’s the only suit that really fits me comfortably at the moment.
Honestly, for those of us that who work 70-80 hours a week. Is that really necessary? How much of that is really needed vs. due to inefficiency, bad planning, lack of the alignment of skill sets in terms of staffing, or most importantly bad culture and working style?
Hi all. If I leave EY once I receive my green card will I owe legal fees? If so, do you know the length of tenure (post GC) I would need to meet in order to avoid repaying legal costs?
Grateful for my support system. I burst into tears during a zoom call with a project leader today. He said the sweetest thing anyone ever said to me in years. A quick catch-up turned into a therapy session.
So why is it that a company always to make the mistake of hiring incompetent leadership folks?
Does rotating among 3-4 clients for no more than a month each requires LCA? Some in the same city as my home office and some are not.
