I've been recently acquired by Accenture as an addition to their skill base. They have no idea of what they purchased. I read about these fools/tools who work years displaced in some not-at-home location. I hope they realize that when these employees they want to raise a family, there is no future here. If anyone feels otherwise, you need a lesson in priorities of life. If you pursue a "bank some cash" now short term plan, and then switch to efforts that prioritize your family, you got something. If you think this is a longer term solution, you're better of not to produce any offspring.

@A9, no, expenses are only billed that way for Time & Material contracts, not for fixed fee projects, which is how most MC and Strategy projects are billed. Fixed fee contracts charge a set % of the fees as expenses.

Either way, though, less travel benefits the client. Either actual expenses are less, benefiting the client at the close if the project. Or we can charge a smaller % for expenses up front, reducing the sticker shock at the time of purchase.

I'm sure they're devastated

I just interviewed 5 campus recruits today to replace you.

M1 and C3 quit today from my practice. That's 3M1's, 2C2's and a C3 down. They're trying to ramp up the analysts but that's multiple decades of knowledge out the door. ACN doesn't know how to retain talent.

All these corporate piggies are all butt hurt.

Lol at all the butthurt seniors 😂

like

If you quit because of regional model you're either an A or C. And even then, strong performers can be justified. Shoo

like

I like when people quit because it makes D need me more. I'm a lot better than someone who just joined.

like

@d1 if he's telling the truth and he's in the top perf. / potential category it's an big loss (minimum $250k investment loss) for any company unless they go to an industry job and buy services back.

like

Sorry to see you go OP! Best of luck...

like

M1, the regional model is where they want to keep us within a set region to build better relationships and keep us closer to home...I understand that many of us want to travel, but quitting because of that is kind of lame.

like

Why are people so rude on this app. Just be kind, it doesn't take time or money, it jammed the world a better place. "Do unto others as you would want them to do unto you" - the golden rule.

like

@A1 maybe he/she is?

like

Good for you OP, to the rest of you that are arguing that so much knowledge is out the door, I assume you've never screened resumes or seen the applications come in from our postings...SM and above is where we start hurting. Plenty of talent in the world to fill M2s and below

like

The regional model adds value by reducing travel costs for our clients and making our pricing more competitive. That's the key driver, not employee retention.

like

Me too!! Yeah industry gave me better benes, closer to home and a 20% increase in pay! Exciting!!

like

D1 - I can't speak for Accenture, but retention is actually a pretty big concern for leaders at D. Any hours OP isn't billing right now is a little f u to his/her leadership

like

And in two weeks it will be another firm all the fishies will be "sticking it to" and quitting

like

Are you going to another consulting firm? If you're going to industry then the regional model rationale makes no sense

like

Good luck OP! I like the regional@model but ai hope you find what your are looking for!

Hey Deloitte fish, I’m joining NYC office next week. I live in Jersey and wanted to see if I can move my office to one of the jersey ones for tax purposes. Anyone know if this will be possible? If so how do I do it? I don’t mind going to ny office and I will if I have to but my role is mostly remote and was told I’d rarely have to go in. I don’t wanna have to pay both taxes if I can help it

4. Are the maternity photos used in the baby shower invites?
