What’s the biggest salary bump/raise you’ve had that didn’t involve a title change? Does such a thing even exist? 🙏🏼🤞🏼🙏🏼
Has anyone at PwC booked hotel rooms that are out of policy for a training before? Is it worth the risk?
Anyone here in consulting? I just got a job offer after some interviews that's a 47% raise from my current comp, but as a new father in his late 30s just wondering if the time away might be terrible. It's slalom consulting (emerge) which emphasizes work life balance and all that but just wanted to get y'all's thoughts.
I live in a HCOL city and am still not being paid enough to save/live . I have all of the tools/ skill sets to leave consulting and go into big tech . Before going out to market myself and get a new job should I even ask D for a raise ? I’m frustrated because I’m adding a lot of value to my current engagements and I think I’d have a good business case for a raise. On a side note I see people leaving left and right here which is not a good sign!
First year level 9 (consultant) expecting to hear about pay raise this Wednesday (will be minimal) I am leaving the firm and new offer wants me to start on 11/26, should I ask to start 12/4 so I can..
Have an approved i140 and getting a promotion from Mgr to Snr. Mgr. Does it require any filings or adjustments with USCIS?
Are airlines doing food/beverage service right now? I have delta and American flights coming up. (FYI - More so curious about the alcohol part of the beverage service.) TIA
Sometimes I think about starting a food, fitness or travel blog and doing what I actually like to do... anyone has side passion projects?
Leaving Deloitte for a better consulting firm & a 50%+ raise. Thank you to D, if they didn’t pay me raises 1/10th the size of competitors, I would’ve never applied!
5 more hours until I get to unleash the nastiest 💩💩 of my life back in the hotel room. Can't think or focus on anything else.

If I’m starting on a 100% travel engagement and my parents live an hour away from my home office & they’ve been begging me to move on back home, is it worth keeping an empty in my home city?
Hey lady 🐠, let’s talk beauty. What do you use? What brands, creams, stuff? How does weekly travel affect that? Any tips for the affects of travel? Looking for advice on good skin regimens

Transferring from technology to consulting at accenture (L10/11). Is it appropriate to ask for a signing bonus or just be happy they’re transferring me?
Fellow strategy consultants- I have an offer for a Sr. Associate role (level below manager), joining date is in December. I was wondering what I can do to prepare myself for the job. Are there any online courses, books, exercises that would help me to excel in my job. Want to make it work anyhow, I do not have strategy consulting exp, most of my work has been PMO, Tech transformations with big4.
6 months in at a new firm. 4th year attorney. Completely new practice area from what I did previously. The partner often sends the random potential client call ins my way. Many times, they have questions related to things I’ve never done and he only provides guidance if I can pull him away from something else to ask. I’m super low on hours but feel that it would be ethically wrong to take on a case involving an issue Im totally unfamiliar with and not confident handling. Wrong approach?
Starting on Monday. Transactional. Super nervous and anxious. I’m considering doing two things: 1) keep an excel spreadsheet that has assignment due dates, client names, assigning partner, etc. and 2) keeping a hand written diary of mistakes that I make on various types of legal agreements, with the intention that I will check that diary for assignments to make sure I don’t repeat mistakes. Thoughts on this? Any tips, advice? Thanks!
I submitted an app 2 weeks ago, got a referral to McKinsey a week ago...do I still have a chance of being contacted?
I'm on my 2nd job for about 6 months and one of the companies that I interviewed with last year reached out that they have an opening. The company I work for is too tier the other is the best. Help?
Quick poll road worriers. When do you usually work out during a travel week? Morning:🌞 Evening:🌜I don't f**king work out:🌚
Travel in sweat pants and then try checking into your hotel...where you are told that you have no reservation for the week and they are fully booked. Happy Monday!
What are the implications of being kicked off a project that you aren’t performing well on? Part of my thinks it could be for the best given a poor team dynamic, but I’m also nervous of having a poor reputation within the firm. Has anyone experienced this?
If you request a salary that’s too high does the hirer usually tell you it’s too high and offer you the salary they had in mind or just ghost you and move on to the next candidate?
