🙋🏻♀️ Yes, all brand new, the teacher computer this replaced was 10 years old!
The teachers all have Dell laptops that plug into a 24” monitor (a godsend with bifocals!), there’s also a wireless keyboard & mouse. It is amazing.
I’m lucky that I got a used small laptop they bought from another district. I purchased my own second monitor and wireless mouse. I also use my own iPad and phone. Couldn’t do it without. Tech issues are a huge problem here
I’m using 3! My school computer to project to my smartboard for kids in class, my personal laptop to see the kids at home in the google meet, and my iPad to project my Jamboards/slides/etc. Its so much to juggle at once 😔

I am so impressed by your skills! 😀 Nice job!
Lotta work though 😬
5 devices going at once. My school provided 4. I use my iPhone to text/talk to my TA while teaching virtually. I’m fortunate bc I teach at a computer coding magnet school.
I repurposed an old monitor from home.
I bought my own 2nd monitor, web cam, powered usb cable. My "rig" cost me $400. Can't imagine trying to do this with 1 monitor and a sub par camera.
I grabbed one of the student monitors. Unplugged my smart board from my computer. I ordered a VGA to HDMI for 7$ from Amazon, so I could have the smart board plugged in as well now that kids are back in class and I’m still online.

At home I purchased a spare monitor (which I wanted anyway), at school I snagged one from a classroom that was about to get rid of them.
We teachers are so resourceful
One device from school one of my own
I have 3 monitors, including the Promethean board. I have the Meet window on the Promethean so I can see everyone. Works great.

Yes, the school provided mine but I’ve been a double monitor for years. We don’t have a lot of zoom classes because we are mostly f-2-f.
Yes and no. I use three. The school provided one, I provided two.
I use a chromebook which is required and my laptop and desktop all school issued while projecting on my promethean board for my in person leatners
No there is no provision by the district to supply the extra monitor. They give us a laptop to use. I have a repurposed one at home. And a newly purchased one at school. It’s much bigger and digital instead of analog like the home monitor. Makes a big difference. Two mo I toes is the only way to go.
I also run an iPad on the side, logged into the class so I can see exactly what the students see. Because it is a little different than you think. Some students think i have a twin even though I have told them the purpose. Maybe it’s their sense of humor.
Yes, bought my own monitor. Only provided a computer.
I just took one from the computer lab. The students aren’t allowed in there anyway right now. 🤷🏻♀️ Ask for forgiveness later..not permission now.
I received nothing from my campus. I bought a new 13" MAC back in March for my dissertation to keep safe and now I am using it as my primary and my old 13" MAC as my second monitor. I have my iPhone and an iPad waiting to be connected to a truly larger computer base. I asked for a Doc camera and got no reply! And, I teach students supported by IEPs. For those of you that have tech support more than keeping you live, CONGRATULATIONS!
Tech support in my district:
1 week before school started, I needed a firewall override for my webcam. The help desk person, who could have remotes in and entered his credentials to the pop-up that was on my screen said no and put in a work order ticket.
6 weeks later a tech came by to do it, and was surprised I was able to outsmart it and get it done on my own.
