How often should a PI attorney get a raise on base salary if also getting percentage of cases resolved? Would you ask after one year of employment on the anniversary? Wait until end of calendar year? Assume the attorney is already happy with the total compensation as it compares to market.

I could use some advice on how I should handle this situation. I found out the other day another editor who started four months ago is making 8% more than I do. For context, I have been here for a little over a year. How do I approach my boss to inquire about a raise? Should I bring up that I know about my teammate's salary?

Hi- I got two raises last year (one with promotion last December). I believe I am underpaid- partly for my own lack of speaking up and negotiating and not making the best career moves.

With current company 3+ years. People are great. Work could be better. 16 YOE. 72k for medcomms. Was told cost of living raise will be in my first 2023 paycheck. But like- I still have 6 months of living to do until then.

I just found out that an associate (same experience level) who billed fewer hours than me and had less collections got a 10k raise while I only got a 2.5K raise. She is in a different office, and her supervising partner is incredibly nice and understanding. My supervising partner is a total dick to everyone (not just me) and I got shafted. Overworked, underpaid prosecutor, almost halfway through 10 year PSLF. I know PSLF is not guaranteed but I have $230k debt. Got an offer at NatWest chennai. Pay is decent. After submitting resignation, i got promotion initiated as well. But package wise NatWest is way high. Pls pour in your suggestions in terms of job security, propagation regulations in NatWest.

I have my 3rd out of 4 interviews today for an internal transfer. This position wouldn’t be a promotion but rather a lateral move. 4 interviews? That’s more than an outside hire, the whole reason I’m being considered is my unique value I’ll be bringing to that department.

P.s my final interview is with my current manager who is NOT in charge of the new department… he also told me he didn’t think I was ready for the change when I initially told him I was making a move. Let’s see how it goes!

Hey everyone. I found out we are expecting our first child and I’m really nervous. I got into consulting one year ago and I’m up for promotion this year. With timing of our performance conversations I would have to inform I’m pregnant before outcomes - then shortly after the promotion effective date I would go on a leave for due date. I’ve worked really hard and I’m worried our wonderful news will throw chances with this :(- also if I don’t get promoted pretty sure it’s up or out. Any advice?

Any books/self help materials for someone who is constantly worrying (and waste a lot of unnecessary time)? E.g. No matter if i pass or fail an interview, there is always something to worry about.
