no leisure!

Itโ€™s fun but itโ€™s more expensive lol

There are a lot of people that did this with one way tickets in Downtown Los Angeles.

They're called "the homeless crisis".

My favorite way to travel! Have done at least 10 trips this way in both Asia and europe.

like

Have done a big part of Asia like that, and South America. It is incredibly more valuable to have the liberty of choice of your next day activity, knowing you are not bounded by where you should be sleeping.
Most of the time, to avoid the burden of searching and calling in crisis at 6-8PM, we just book something via booking (or finding via booking then directly calling) during lunch or in any bus ride / airport / taxi /... for the same evening.
Not especially more expense, but be ready to sleep sometimes in more crappy places you would have liked (Iโ€™m ok, my SO a bit less), or a bit more expensive than expected. Still more expensive in those countries does not change a damn thing for us tbh.

like

Lol I do this all the time. I do this with rental cars and hotels.

rental cars I booked in advance, hotels I dont. worst case is i sleep in the car. Itโ€™s ironic since ar work, i tend to be organized and plan things ahead. but outside of work when traveling, iโ€™m donโ€™t like structure that muchโ€ฆ carefree

Always

Did this for a week in Costa Rica. It was great

Did that today!

Traveled from Chicago to Madrid and booked the hotel midway in the air !

My cleaning lady now drives to our apartment and finds street parking. She got a ticket last week for not seeing the signs. I suggested to her if the signs werenโ€™t clear she could contest it. Iโ€™m struggling here - should I pay for the ticket? On one level, she has worked with us for a long time, but I also donโ€™t think itโ€™s necessarily my responsibility. I give her a nice bonus and raise each year. Do I pay it once as a good will gesture? She has other clients too that she drives too.

I've just recently been hired as an assistant manager at a Canadian outlet store. It's a small company in comparison to others, but there are over 10 locations spanning western Canada and NW united states. I'm curious as to what others in a similar position are getting as salary. I was offered $42k plus bonuses at the interview, but when called back I was offered $44.5k plus bonuses. I already accepted. Did I leave money on the table here?

Our firm is growing fast and we need to add another attorney to keep up with the work. Our compensation package is 20-30% higher than what others firms in our area are offering. However, Iโ€™m still finding it difficult to get qualified associate to even apply for the position. I think part of the problem may be because we are located in a mid-sized city rather than a major metro area. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to attract talent when you are a newer small firm in a mid-size market?

How much time will it take to make this shift? And what do I need to study for it?
If someone has had a transition from a service based organisation to a product one, how did you achieve it?

Thanks in advance.
