I've learned from experience that hoping something will go away doesn't work. And covering it up is even worse. As M2 said, tell your manager and let him/her handle the client. Everyone makes mistakes, it's okay.
Be honest. You made a mistake but the data must have passed the sniff test so it cannot have been too bad. Whether or not your project lead tells the client is a different matter. If you know and don’t say anything then your project lead finds out, how could they trust you again?

How off is the answer? If the answer doesn’t change, then ask for an updated dataset and bury it. It’s more about saving face with the client than anything. Solutions are more important than problem identification.
Then be honest with your leadership and let them decide if it matters. It’ll burn your rep a bit, but at least you found it. Could always just say you made it more efficient, etc.
