OP i resume write on the side. Would be interested to see your work. I also get a lot of compliments ๐ค
@OP I don't remember exactly, but I think it was anywhere from ten bucks to twenty. They mostly did proofreading and gave me some generic suggestions, I would paid more if somebody wrote the resume and the cover letter for me entirely.
If I see that the one I made doesn't work and I'm not getting the right responses, definitely.
The reason I ask is because when I quit my job months ago, I did so without having another job lined up. I crafted so many resumes and cover letters to the point where I was being contacted by employers just to tell me how impressive they were, even if I wasn't qualified for the position I applied for - most said they'd love to have someone like me so they kept my materials on file should something come up. I thought maybe I could help others craft their resume/cover letters/even emails for these situations while making some cash on the side. Just curious to see if you think people would utilize that kind of thing!! Thanks for any input/suggestions ๐
During campus recruiting I paid people of fiver to review and proofread my resumes and cover letters. Nothing wrong with that.
Really. Lol. I dont have a website, i just get people from word-of-mouth. Shoot me an e-mail and lets chat :) elizabeth.halt88@gmail.com
(I generally charge $50 and have been successful asking for this. Or $75 for resume + cover letter)
I need to see a sample
I don't think there's enough of a market here to make this a business. Personally I wouldn't pay for this service. I've got people within my network that I trust to proof read for free. Also recruiters will proof read and clean up resume for you for free. I've found recruiters that are good at their jobs, so don't think I'd ever pay for something I can get for free.
No you should be able to speak to it.
Side note: I did end up getting a job shortly after haha because I know someone will be asking about that
@Senior Associate 1, really!? Do you just have your own website or email back and forth with people you know? I'd love to see your work as well! I think this would be a great thing to do for people ๐ it can be hard crafting these things.
@KPMG 1, how much did you pay them? I considered $20 per resume/cover letter but I'm not sure if that's too much or too little haha
@senior associate 1, awesome!! I have a meeting in a few minutes so I'll email them afterwards ๐
