I say this with all compassion, but do you think she just needs some space? I’m sure she enjoys your company but maybe she wants to focus on having her own life for a bit, especially since you two live together.

Yeah I wonder if you can just ask her like, “hey we haven’t gone out for a bit let’s do it I’m craving a good hangout!!”

Wouldn't it be a bit much to live together AND always hang out together? Some people just want more breathing room y'know.

Same feelings here. I think it bothers me because I go out of my way to include the other person. I know it’s supposed to be done without expectations and from the goodness of my heart - but it stings when not reciprocated

She can do whatever she wants. But sometimes I feel, that she could have atleast asked me, even if I dont end up going.

What’s to stop you from asking her to hang out? Also, like others have stated, sometimes being around the same person all the time can be a bit much.

My sister and I were glued at the hip during covid. We were each other’s covid bubble. We have officially gotten sick of one another haha. We love each other and are still best friends but after 2 years of sheltering in place, we both need some independent time.

Just tried out the Apple Fitness +, loving it so far. The Apple Watch integration makes the exercises feel more customized to you. Wish this was out during the earlier days of covid! You don’t need equipment to use it, but if you get a cheap bike or compact treadmill from Amazon, it’s will be way cheaper that peloton. 🍎🎄🍎

Covid sucked but I didn’t let it stop me from living. Met the love of my life and now getting married. Started two bad ass side hustles, got more fit and discovered peace thru Yoga/meditation. Also, quit drinking, two months now. Moral of the story, nothing changes if nothing changes.

How frequently should one expect or advocate for a raise at a small firm? I moved to a new firm (about ten lawyers) about two and a half years ago. After my first year I got a 20% raise following a brief and exclusively positive performance review. Its been about 17 months since then and silence. I have the general sense that the firm struggled a little financially during COVID and I don't want to seem ungrateful or greedy, but apparently the firm is doing well enough to hire more associates.

What do you all do to make non-professional / personal connections? Particularly with the Coronavirus, and being in domestic relations, I wake up, go to work, work out, go home. So outside of law, my interactions with people are only at the gym given that my area is draining— particularly at the moment. Probably a good thing for now; but if we take coronavirus out of the equation, I’m interested what others in the community do to develop personal connections.

What is the best objective source for determining whether to get the COVID 19 vaccine? Looking for sources and raw data and documentaries. I’m not looking for opinions I am looking for references to a variety of medical authorities. I have masked up this whole time but admittedly have not done any research other than what I heard in the news. So now I plan to approach this as an objective question to answer like I would any thoroughly researched legal question.

Why does everyone put Tech / FAANG on such a pedestal, claiming it’s better than MBB. Sure, the comp and WLB may be better, but you won’t be doing as meaningful and impactful work e.g. Govt Covid response, Gates foundation projects, industry defining projects in the space of a few months etc

Anyone else tired of the assumption that because you’re a partner you have to think a certain way and believe certain things. I’m talking about wokeness, work from home, and the recent ever constant pushing of the needle to the left or risk getting “cancelled”.
