Kind of depends on your market and current earnings?

my rule is at least 20% down payment

Borrowed 125k from parents
Sister pulled 130k from heloc
I put in 5k
260k for a 25% down payment on a home

My interest is 4.375%
I’m paying 5k a month for mortgage (which includes property tax and insurance)

Hello All,

Can anyone please help me here.
I have made my tax payment in July 2022 but yesterday (15 Nov 2022) I receive an email that tax payment is due for assessment year 2022-23

I called to help desk and he advised to raise rectification request from Tax portal and update the challan number. I tried to raise request but need to upload some XML or json file there. I am not sure how to upload or modify that file.

Does anyone know what steps need to follow as I already made my tax payment.

I’m a first time home buyer in the process of making an offer on a condo in the DC area. My realtor is stating that earnest money is a requirement to submit the offer. Is that true? I’m not seeing the value in putting that money in escrow upfront if there’s no additional offers on the table.

Are roles in large established FMCG (Unilever, P&G, Mondelez etc) still a good training ground for people early in their careers?

I ask as I'm looking for my next career move. However my friend has mentioned that a lot of them have frequent restructuring as they follow the zero-based budgeting methodology in a time when they are pretty mature.

Was wondering if any fishbowlers have insight or work in large FMCG, who could shed some light.

Anyone know of firms with the Los Angeles area that help you and encourage you to attain the CFP? I’m finding it hard finding local firms that have career trajectory from Client Servicing to full Advisory work.

I’m willing to pay for self study and take local classes but would love and appreciate sponsorship.

Any advice in general for making the jump from more client servicing to advisory would be greatly appreciated.

Ideally I’d love to make my way towards either an Advisor or Strategist.

Less than a year into my role as an analyst in IT audit. Took the role with the hopes of transferring to a finance-focused group and after passing CFA L1 I mentioned this to my coach last week (also hold an MS in Finance, FWIW).

He said we should move on this quickly and to send him over a few projects / teams I’d want to work with.

If I would eventually like to find myself in IB, is my best bet to try transferring into the valuations group and also, how should I frame my outreach?!

This was supposed to be the first year EY implemented a firm-wide mid-year bonus which would have been paid in January. Curious if other firms have a mid year bonus (based on their fiscal year) and if so, what have the amounts been historically? Select high performers with high utilization will still receive a little something this year similar to prior years (only ~$5k-10k tho).
