My advice - If he’s interested in you, you’ll know. If not, you’ll be confused. Give it some time. Use this time away to understand/gauge him. In the end, do what makes you happy.
For what it’s worth, my “random ONS from vacation” is still in touch nearly 2 months later and I’m still unclear on the endgame. Not feasible for us to meet up right now, though.
Did he explicitly invite you back?
Did y’all talk about what happens next? Exchange contact info? Any indications whatsoever that the hookup was anything more than just that?
If he contacts you and talks about you coming back, go for it! Or you could always reach out to him to see what’s up. I wouldn’t be planning anything right now, though.
How often have you been in touch?
Would only plan a trip if you’ve been consistently talking and deepening your connection since then
Great advice. I’m ultimately confused because our meeting was so random. I thought he was attractive but didn’t intentionally give off the signal to connect and get together although he says I did (I told him about a networking event, that’s all!) Somehow he took that as a sign that I was interested and next thing I know - well, here I am, lol. 😂 Conversation was light, professional and friendly in my eyes. Debriefing it out now sounds like it was pretty much a casual fling. I should probably let things be and move on.
Do what makes you happy but don’t set yourself up for hurt. As long as you have a control on your expectations, you’ll be fine :). We’ve all been there!
