I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
For those whose firms sponsor H1B at the analyst level - how common is this? My firm says they don’t do it until the MBA level because of “prevailing wage” issues, but the analyst comp differences aren’t that different that I know of. Appreciate any insights on this!
Posted in Big 4 bowl but reposting here: Looking to move into a general Consulting Staff/Business Transformation/Strategy position mid-late 2022. Was eyeing a Summer/Fall 2022 Business Transformation Staff position at EY in particular, but it has dropped off. Any idea of when positions like that will typically open up across most firms? Want to get in early, open to any firm. I do not have an MBA, but I am client facing and work in commercial markets currently. TYIA!
How many years of modeling experience in the big 4 will lateral to Associate level investment banking and will the pay be different from a post-MBA first year associate?
Is there a standard package for strategy and ops role at FB (4 years post MBA)? I just have no context on what base/bonus might be and what is standard in terms of stock/signing bonus. Thoughts?
First MBA app submitted!
New to Fishbowl, currently working on a career pivot! I graduated in May with my MBA and have experience as a Director of Operations as well as recruiting and HR experience. I am looking to move more into Change/Project Management or Director of People Operations roles. I have been at the application game now for two months with only two interviews and over 20 applications sent out each week. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Feeing a little defeated over here. Thank you!
CISSP CPE question: Does anyone know if a Udemy AWS cloud practitioner certification course can be leveraged for Group A CPE credits on ISC2? Udemy provides a certificate with hour totals, but I didn’t know if ISC2 frowns upon these courses.
Is it worth joining MBB firm? How does it impact your long term growth? Recently promoted to senior manager in tech consulting space and I am considering to take a paycut (about 50k) to join Mckinsey at post MBA consultant level. I want to hear feedback from MBB fish here. Most of my friends think it's a bad move..
Can somebody please explain to me why MBB and other top consulting firms are so adamant that you have an MBA? I majored in accounting, finance, and operations management at a top 10 undergrad business school and then got my masters in information systems from the grad school program. I took multiple MBA courses as electives when getting my masters and it seemed like those classes were very basic and easy. Idk if I would learn anything in an MBA program that I hadn’t already learned in undergrad
Let’s hear the UG and MBA intern offers!
How much of a value-add are Exec MBAs? I've not come across many of them. Been in IB for 9 years (no MBA) and wonder if it's something I do around the time I try to move up?
What types of roles would fit a Business Analyst 2 with 2 years (No MBA) of industry experience supporting Federal Contracts and strategy? Looking into applying to several positions on Deloittes website however I’m not sure if I’m over/under selling my experience.
I want to do a online/ part-time graduate program while doing my full-time job. Would like to know what non-MBA programs are other folks pursuing, if any.
Hoping to seek everyone’s advice here! I recently moved in-house and have more free time to invest in myself. Which direction would you suggest that I look to for growth? - UX/UI - Coding - Data Analytics - SHRM - PMP - Others?
Give me my new comp statement!!!
Is K&E a toxic firm? I have heard nightmare stories from current and former attorneys there.
My friend just had a baby. I want to get her some meals for the next few weeks, so she doesn't have to worry about cooking. Any ideas?
Hi all! I’m an MBA Candidate with 3.5 years on H1B. What consulting firms are still hiring internationals among MBB and Big 4?
Best Marriott hotel in London?
How’s life at ZS? Looking for a new role. Associate consultant role - can people share experience and compensation?
I work with several people with kids and I have noticed quite often that they completely disregard any issues of people with no kids and try to one up work life imbalance conversations with stories of them being parents. It must be hard being a parent but I don’t think people at work should be treated differently or given any additional consideration just because they have a kid. You already get parental leave so If I’m expected to work 12hr I ask the same to be expected from my peers with kids.
What are the best/most respected DEI certifications or programs? I would like to choose one that really walks the walk, and highlights all of the various areas of a diversity wheel to ensure it is well rounded.
Any Kearney fish with insights on the Southeast Asia offices? Specifically interested in culture, compensation (compared to the US consulting)

M&A case study Hi, I have a case study coming up for an M&A generalist manager position. Already done partner and director interviews. Does anyone have any experience with "Do a quick back of the envelope analysis to calculate the companies FCF profile" or anything else to expect from an information memorandum?
Can anyone help me evaluate whether I should take an exit opportunity. Currently in big 4 (fsrm) and have the opportunity to join a f250 payments firms internal strategy division. They report directly to the c-suite and said they mainly focus on strategy or M&A and don’t do implementation. The team seems really nice but I’m just worried about leaving consulting and leaving the accelerated progression. Would love some insights as I’m fairly lost on what to decide. Thanks!
What is the general opinion on increasing salary: is it easier to do from within or jumping to another firm?
I had a take home technical assessment for an interview but I had someone else help me and basically do it for me. I feel so shitty
1 year and 3 month with two busy season experience, CPA licensed and CFE passed (don’t have two year experience yet), on a visa. What are the chances of me getting in forensic consulting? I’ve been cold calling people around but don’t seem like they are currently hiring.
