If you’re trying to sell in a hot area, you can probably just put it on the mls yourself through a self service brokerage. You’d have to do the showings or have the lock box.
You’d save about 2.5-3% doing this, so you’ll have to decide if it’s worth the hassle. Listing it yourself would be a flat fee to get it on the mls plus professional pictures. Probably around $500-700 or so total. I’ve sold places both ways. Generally I think it’s fine to sell a place without a broker, but I’d recommend using a broker to buy a place.
