Is anyone else unsatisfied with the black history that is taught to children? It is very cursory: Dr. King, Rosa Parks, etc. I don't think it's designed to foster much of a sense of pride in kids
Hey everyone, does anyone have insights on the Social Impact and Sustainability practice at BCG? It’d be for Expert Hire. I had final rounds and waiting to hear back and evaluating it against a WEF Lead role. Thanks!
Hi team i have a bit of doubt.
I have an excel sheet where column A is the order numbers. I want to add comments in column G.
There are many repetitions in order numbers but they are all sorted in ascending so all the repetitions are below one another.
If i have a comment, how can i automatically paste that same comment in all the repetitions of that order numbers if i write it in the 1st instance.
Thanks in advance

Will it be an issue, if I don't declare a personal loan which is restricted entity of Deloitte USI in the trading and tracking tool
How is everyone staying motivated at work while going through fertility treatments? On days when I have appts or get my period, all I want to do is google and read forums about it. My utilization is tanking (not because I’m blowing off work, but because I need to find and take on new work) but can’t get the energy to). I’ve told my manager about what I’m going through and she is supportive, but feeling guilty when I hear about how busy everyone around me is and I just can’t find the motivation.
I like to pursue in the data science field. I have business Analyst experience but to switch to data science field could you guide me on what should I learn? Where should I start?
Anyone have any ideas for our next speaker? I was thinking nutritionalist or dietician. What are your thoughts? Thanks!
Does anyone know if an expert is required to prove Plaintiff’s economic damages (loss of earnings) in a personal injury suit in Texas?
Resume question that I struggle to answer. If someone has been working for ~20 years and has worked at a number of companies during that time (let’s say 10 for the sake of this example), the resume becomes way too long. Is it okay to remove the 1st couple of jobs that were held after college even if relevant? Or maybe delete a job or 2 if they aren’t 100% relevant to the rest of the person’s career? Final option is to leave names of companies (and titles) of early roles but delete the content.

Just want your thoughts. 73 yo friend has heart valve replacement surgery going on right now. He has 2 adult children in their 40s with no kids at home. One is a lawyer making beaucoup $$ in B and lives 45 mins from the Hosp. Neither daughter is at the hospital during the surgery. As a critical care nurse and lawyer, I find this unacceptable, esp since they have close relationships with dad. Stepmom who raised them is alone at the Hosp. I don’t know if he said not to come but that’s unimportant.
I HATE when I get invested in a really long fanfic just to find out it's UNFINISHED 😭😭😭
Married to a virgin. So self conscious wouldn't give or relax enough to enjoy a head.
Struggle is real.
Does anyone else’s significant other request you to apologize quiet a bit? How have you reacted to it? Like the smallest things they ask for an apology?
I never have good dreams when I sleep. Only average ones or nightmares. It’s so irritating.
Just bought a mint chocolate shake with Oreo chunks and took a leisurely drive into the sunset. I watched the birds flap and sway in the wind. I sunk into the poetry of the moment and let myself bask in the joy of the universe.
Most people who wear Harvard shirts after the age of 30 are douchebags. This goes 100x for someone who either didn't attend and 1000x for someone who attended a leadership certificate program.
I'm the same age as her little brother and it makes her self conscious to the point she won't tell her friends what we're up to... while her friends keep trying to unironically set her up with me
Dang son!!! 😅
I think I am becoming increasingly conservative like a social conservative type and I don’t know how I feel about that. I seem to agree with tucker/ Ben/ JP but then I have to remind myself it’s tucker/ Ben Shapiro/ Jordan Peterson. Any one deal with this?
just binged Partner Track, it was so entertaining. there was also a Deloitte shoutout in the last episode lol

Can feel the basicness rising within me. Football’s on all weekend, pumpkin beers are back…still too hot for flannels but you already know they’re on deck 😅.

It’s more terrifying to me that a SM would take this rag seriously.
There are certainly a lot of interesting things to debate, but this article’s take should get it a flunk in any high school essay assignment. Almost no cited factual basis and a plethora of logical errors. If he turns out to be right it would be by pure accident
Why not read something from a peer-reviewed source and people who are well versed in their subjects?
Yes OP - learn to farm.
People will one day walk the Earth and ask “what was the United States?” But that day isn’t today or anytime soon.
I’m so glad I went through my Ron Paul gloom and doom phase in high school.
There are people-adults even!-that literally spend their entire lives reading, hoping, and planning for the next big crash, societal failure, martial law, end of the petrodollar, etc. And I hate to break to you but this group of people is supremely overconfident in their stupidity and never, I means NEVER, takes time to reflect and review their old prognostications.
Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
What exactly are you Senior Manager of?
Idk dude. Seems like we are setting up for failure. Mostly the bit about the currency devaluation is what struck a chord w me. That could be fucked.
The author’s views are worthless. Go read real analysis—from any end of the spectrum. This is like getting worried because a children’s book told you dragons are real.
This reads as if Russia itself wrote it…
You actually believe a SubStack article this whole heartily?
It does come off a bit pro Russia, yes. And no, not wholeheartedly. It just had some points I don’t typically consider and could have bad results for the rest of us.
I’m never going to get back the 5 minutes of my life I wasted reading that article. @sm Foreign Affairs is my favorite source if you want top notch analysis
In a worst case, and likely, scenario US could lose its dominance as an economic superpower. That won’t mean that we will regress to a farming economy. Management consultants are needed around the world. And businesses that are restructuring need consultants to help reinvent themselves
Further, during the 1980’s the USSR was economically isolated from the rest of the world. We were still watching Wall St., lifestyles of the rich and famous, and family ties on TV while interest rates were at 10%
Despite this war in Ukraine, the huge economic disruption of Covid, life will go on.
Fortunately we are a more global society than ever. You could be in Ghana tomorrow helping to launch a mining co. Or go to Poland to help launch a tech outsourcing company. Or work for a shipping or logistics company to help with the ongoing Covid recovery.
There is soooo much opportunity out there!
I mean it is the *confession* bowl, so I confess to reading a Substack article that may or may not have decent points and expressing my immediate reaction. Not everything coming out of the standard media is exactly accurate. I’m not as confident in our security in the world as the “professional” consensus here seems to be. I don’t buy into this idea that it’s all doom and gloom or the dollar is over, but I def see us a major tipping point. That’ll have an impact on all of us.
You don’t need to learn how to farm but you should think about what the dollar represented and how its devaluation can affect things.
At the end of the day, one can remain complacent in their thinking and believe the status quo of all things remain (and then suffer after) or one can try to think outside the box and learn more to understand different aspects of this world. It doesn’t make one automatically be a conspiracist or the sort but researched thoroughly can give one a leg up in the next phase of this lifetime, whatever it may be.
There’s a reason why following herds feels great until it isn’t and contrarian thinking can be good (at times). Think about the economic hardships that people go through in history and think why do some people not go through it. Luck or information, sometimes go hand in hand.
