Depends on the firm, some firms will give you the full bonus if you are hitting your annualized hours so you should check your firm’s policy too.

I hit my annualized hours with no credit for ramp up or ramp down, but it was hard. I had a 5 day arbitration hearing the first month of the fiscal year and had to postpone everything not billable and grind out hours the last month. I was literally crossing my fingers that no one would complain that I was billing for things that could have waited. I should find out this week whether or not my bonus is prorated.
I am only starting my second tri, but I’ve already opted out of the bonus for this billable year. They would certainly prorate my bonus if I billed the hours, but I’ve been choosing sleep, fitness, time with my husband and family, and other things over work during pregnancy (whenever I can). I could be pushing harder, but I’m a senior associate who has been pushing for a long time now and this pace is just what me and my baby need right now. It’s been great and stress-free. When I come back at the end of the billable year next year, I don’t think anyone will give me a hard time about lower hours the year I had my baby.
Got a prorated bonus. Had to meet prorated hours and then got bonus prorated accordingly.
Check your firm policies - ideally some of this it outlined. I got full bonus with credit as if I were billing FT on mat leave
