In terms of salary, pretty far with some adequate lab training. I'd say you can expect to cap out somewhere between 70-85k after a few years
You should consider continuining education if you are interested in pushing your salary past the six figure mark or if you want to more on more specialized projects. Honestly though you can make a pretty good living just form an associates so it'd be more of a matter of being ready to push yourself
