I’m almost at 4 months of no alcohol and can confidently say will never go back to days being wasted being hungover, skin on my face always looking tired and unhealthy, having no energy, crashing at random times, making stupid decisions, and so many other things…once you get a habit going it becomes really easy to maintain ….good luck
It has been very easy! If anyone asks or seems weird about them drinking and me not drinking I assure them to please drink and enjoy yourself don’t mind me at all, but I will drink smth like a mock tail or soda , and joke around I’ll take care of them if anything happens, I used to hate when I would drink and someone else wouldn’t it would make me feel weird so I never want to make anyone feel like that
I stopped drinking on Sunday-Wednesday — unless there’s a special occasion or I’m on vacation. Cut down other days too.
I love wine. But it’s not uncommon for some people to have bad reactions after. Could be because of the tannins or a histamine sensitivity.
If I do drink, I take Cheers pills and drink a full glass or two of water before bed. And sometimes will take Alka-Seltzer Hangover Relief tablets in the morning.
any kind of wine messes with my sleep, but usually when I drink i forget to eat 🥴🥴🥴
I went totally alcohol free for almost a year. And what it taught me was that I was drinking too many drinks that I didn’t enjoy just because other people were. I found that I really enjoy a good dark beer or a glass of champagne. So now, when I’m craving those things, I have one drink. I don’t ever crave a second.
And I don’t cave to random drinking (like drinking games, etc) because I know I feel way better when I’m drinking way less.
For me, this is the exact type of balance I was looking for but it wouldn’t have happened if I didn’t take the time off from drinking.

My wife and I moved to a different state because we wanted to have healthier lifestyles and do more outdoor activities. A part of that decision was getting away from the drinking culture in the city we were in so we could meet more likeminded individuals. It’s also a lot easier to not drink if you’re making other healthy decisions. I don’t want to ruin my workout by having a couple drinks. Now I probably average 4-7 drinks/week, usually only on F/S/Su
I go through this every single day… probably a problem. I never understood as a child why my mom would drink almost a bottle of wine every night until now…
