You could freeze your eggs if you want biological kids later down the road whether it's with a partner you meet later in life or on your own. At least it will take some of the stress of clock running out. Is being married and having a family something you really want or just because everyone around you does?

like

Agree that you should look into freezing your eggs. Not to scare you but fertility for many woman goes downhill fast. Having frozen eggs would give you a lot of breathing room so to speak in your timeline and relieve some of the pressure.

Sorry you are going through this. We have a lot in common from what you posted here, and it can be tough for sure. Keep your head up sis! Try to get out as much as you can to meet people. Mask up and spend time with your friends as an outlet to have a good time. Working in high stress environment can make it hard, but try your best to make time to do enjoyable things.

I know that can be stressful. Have you tried online dating?

Tried and tried and keep failing 😭😭😭

Help me out, everyone seems to be having much milder symptoms with Omicron. Is the hospital capacity issue due to people panicking and going to the hospital despite having mild symptoms or because staff are out with illness? I don’t understand how the medical system is on the brink of collapse right now. Maybe I have a skewed view of Omicron based on anecdotal experience?

Our district does not give sick days if a teacher has Covid so if a teacher tests positive, that teacher must use his or her own sick days. If a teacher gets Covid or tests positive, 10+ sick days are gone because of district policy. Some teachers have lost 20-30 days because they tested positive 2-3 times even though they have no symptoms. Because of this, some teachers have stated they will not test and will just come to school unless their symptoms are too severe.

If the government really wanted to end Covid they should’ve given contracts to popular US clothing brands like: Nike, Under Armor, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfinger, Calvin Klein, The North Face, etc. Point being, if these brands designed their own masks in bulk people would be more inclined to wear “their favorite brand” opposed to a surgical mask or no mask at all.

Need some advice: Boss and Partner came into town for two days last week. Most people got drunk, I did not, as I had 3 drinks over the 5 hours we were at dinner and then at the cigar bar. Partner just kept saying he missed his family and couldn't wait to get home. Pretty great to see. My Boss, (Senior Manager) made an inappropriate comment which I acted like I didn't hear and then I quickly left after that (I am quite aware I should have firmly put up my boundary right then and there) Next...

Would love to hear from moms whose babies went to daycare / school right after maternity leave (no nanny etc). Due in March and on the list for a stellar Montessori daycare / preschool near us to start in August (school year) when baby is 4-5 months old. Feeling guilty and struggling to decide if keeping baby home a year with a nanny is better, starting school in 2023? However, I’m worried about cost - we really would not be able to afford a nanny in our city on our salaries. Advice welcome!
