Really need some help 🐠 I’ve got 2 offers on the table and not sure which one to go with. It’s my first time receiving RSUs as comp. Any insight/advice is very much appreciated!!

Both are finance roles.

Offer 1:
- Big Bank, hybrid (2-3 days in office), Manager
- base: $195k
- bonus: $50k
- total comp: $245k

Offer 2:
- FAANGMULA, 100% remote, Senior Manager
- base: $157k
- bonus: 20%
- annual RSU: $44k
- sign on bonus: $25k
- sign on RSU: $60k
- total comp: $317k

The real difference is the RSU value. Given the current market, I would take the second offer. The stock market will shift eventually and you’ll have made more in yearly comp. Assuming, you can live comfortably on the lower base/bonus.

Hey! I've always wanted to get into IB (prestige, money, you name it), however now that I'm in a more laid back environment (better WLB, "easier work") it doesn't seem as attractive as before and the pay is quite good for an analyst level (I think the pay is competitive even comparing with IB's pay in my country) . Hello All, Office Sup. for a major hospital, w/ 15 years experience. I have lots of experience in every position in the office, especially in training. I recently applied for an EPIC trainer position within the company and according to Glassdoor the average pay is about 23k more than what I currently make. I’m afraid of getting a lowball offer since 1. they obviously know my current salary and 2. I’d be new at this particular role, although I meet qualifications. Any advice if that’s the case?

I’ve been offered a position that I’m really excited about. Their initial offer was 10K more than the top of the salary range they gave me for the position when I asked during the interview process and at the top end of the salary requirements I set for myself. My partner thinks I should still negotiate for more even though I’m happy with the offer. Am I an idiot if I don’t negotiate in this case? Are there any executives out there who have recently negotiated with their CEO for an updated compensation package? 3 years ago I asked for a compensation review/raise, went through what felt like a ridiculous 8 MONTH long process of defending why it was warranted, only to be told no. 3 months ago I asked again and it has gone nowhere. I should add that salary bands are kept secret and I have no clue what the range for my position is. There are a decent amount of benefits in my position, the biggest being WLB, which is what has kept me here for so long. But I’m getting frustrated. What would you do?
