Jason Bates was great for us as first time home buyers. We initially looked in Lakewood and ended up in Richardson; he was very knowledgeable about Canyon Creek and East Dallas. Happy to provide more info if you’d like. Best of luck!

Feel free to DM. If you are willing to do some of the ‘research’ yourself, I have a realtor that kicks back 1.5% of the commission. Good guy.

Agreed - Especially if you are looking at a houses in the +$1mm range it’s a nice perk.

DM me if you want. One of my colleagues’ wife was our realtor this past year and she was fantastic. Similar area we bought in (M streets).

Sherri Burleson is amazing!!! Southern lady from Georgia who’s been here in DFW for a few years . Went through a few slick talking realtors before we found her, fun to work with , honest, very hardworking and ethical. Happy to connect but she’s a real gem

If you’re looking at Canyon Creek, I’d also recommend looking at Northwood Hills as well. Nice area, Richardson schools, and homes with .5 acre lots.

In some of the areas you need to find a realtor (preferably in the neighborhood) who can get you into homes before they go on the market. Some realtors (especially in Richardson and Far North Dallas) literally have a monopoly on the neighborhood. I recommend finding the 1-2 agents that do the bulk of the business in the neighborhood. I know for Northwood Hills it’s Rach Potter and Mitra Shamsa. My fiancé and I just got so sick of touring overpriced flipped homes in different shades of gray and was able to find something pre market and put in an offer. Agents want the full 6% instead of just 3% so they will always take you to their listings first!

Thanks for all the recommendations fellow 🐠

What strategy does a suggest to apply to investors or when investing?

Dollar-cost averaging is one of the easiest techniques to boost your returns without taking on extra risk, and it’s a great way to practice buy-and-hold investing. Dollar-cost averaging is even better for people who want to set up their investments and deal with them infrequently. It’s one of the most powerful and easy investment strategies and it’s great for individual investors.
