Received $30k post tax in bonus. $6500 to spouse Roth IRA for 2023, $20k to HYSA, $3500 for VTI. Is this sound strategy? I have around $38k in HYSA so this takes it to 58k, no student loan, mortgage at 2.35%.

How much cash do you need available? If you don't need the cash or don't have plans to spend it within the next few years, I would consider putting more in VTI. Other than that advice (and really my own opinion), this looks like a great plan.

like

Thank you. Makes sense to move some of the cash to VTI

What do you do at EY to receive that much bonus lol?

funny

Are you at EYP

Maybe put more in VTI? Unless you need cash soon

Seems like a decent plan without any further information

Are there options trading coaches or mentors? I’ve done well in stocks trading, have basic knowledge of derivatives from the BComm in Finance and various books/online resources.
But I feel like I’m really lost in the actual practical aspect of options trading and would love to learn directly from someone who’s experienced and successful in it. Preferably someone who’s smart about risk-minimizing strategies.

If I want to finance a private party purchase with a car loan from a credit union, how does it work from a tactical perspective. Say I’m looking to purchase a car in the $15-20k range - my credit is good and my local CU offers 2.5% for 48 months, so it’s smart to use financing since the cash is so cheap.

How much do I get approved for? Do they just wire me the cash and I bring them the title later or do they issue a cashiers check to the seller for the exact vehicle I’m buying?

My wife and I are working on preparing a good down payment for a home in a couple of years. Right now I have been maxing out 401k and Roth IRA, but considering to reduce those contributions in order to build up for a down payment. Currently own a townhome, and this approach would allow me to rent out my current place instead of using the equity for a partial down payment. Is sacrificing the retirement accounts for a couple of years worth it? I think so, but would like to hear other ideas.

Does UAE withhold taxes for Indians who do not qualify as NRI or they just pay all the salary and we need to pay while filing taxes in India?

Hi team ,

I have started working from jul2019 and I have filed my tax return for 2020 and 2021 tax years.

However I note that there was withholding of some amount in 2017-2018 and 2019 tax years ( withholding from comission received from insurance commission from lic and United india)

I have not filed 2017, 2018, 2019 return as my total income was less than threshold

Is it possible to file return for 2017 , 2018, 2019( all r in refund) now without paying any penalty?

I’m waiting for an offer. At the offset of interviewing they told me the range was 180-195 and I said that it was lower than I am looking for generally which I wanted to be up front about, but there was a possibility I could be a bit flexible depending on other factors so I was interested in continuing. Assuming they make me an offer in that range, how much more is reasonable to try to ask for?
