Received a call from my recruiter on Friday afternoon that the firm I had been working with was going to extend an offer soon. It’s Monday at 2 pm and I haven’t heard anything. Should I be concerned they aren’t going to make me an offer?

Thanks everybody! Got my offer letter an hour after I posted this so I was stressed for nothing! It was nice to get some affirmations!

And the anxiety of putting in notice 😫

Did the recruiter say an offer to you or just in general?

I’d give it 46-72 business hours before you get panicked.

This process takes forever. No big deal.

Have recruiter follow up. These things take time...they may need to gin up and sign the OL if they don't do verbal offers.

(Almost) Congrats!

I don’t think there’s reason to be concerned yet. It takes time to draft things up on writing and get sign off. Also, it’s spring break season in parts of the country so that could cause some back up.

I do insurance defense and I HATE it. All I do is defend small businesses against slip and fall cases. I'm being pressured by an attorney family member (who also does ID) to switch to Plaintiff's work at a firm like Morgan & Morgan. He says it's better and I'll earn more. Those who have made the same switch - is the grass really greener? I have zero interest in Plaintiff's work and I've always avoided it but the money and the career advancement is being pushed on me
