How can I go about looking for a mentor as a software engineer? I am almost 3 years into my software engineering career and I feel I haven’t learned and done as much in 3 years as I should have. I think leadership in my company is just gearing up to sell:
1. When I try to refactor, organize, or address tech debt in the code, I get heavy pushback with no real justification (they just say “keep it simple”) and no stated initiatives to fix said debt. Thanks, I guess I’m just an impetuous child.
2. Marketing wants “more logos” to attract a 2nd round of investment.
3. No long-term vision for our “product.”
4. Way more personnel,no innovation
