Received a job offer today and unsure how to proceed. The role is lateral but with more opportunity to advance. The offer consists of a 17% base salary increase, a 25% annual bonus structure, and a signing bonus of 25% of my base. I feel that the offer is fair but the downside is fewer vacation days. I intend to negotiate the vacation time but as far as the compensation I am unsure if I should negotiate.. the offer is fair and I don't want to be greedy but I don't want to miss an opportunity

Advice a friend who is a recruiter gave me was don’t negotiate just to negotiate if you are comfortable with the offer. One of latest offers I receive had less time off than my current employer. I asked if time off was negotiable and told them them I was basically losing 10 days and the option to buy 5 more days. They said it was not negotiable and only people coming in above director received more. So at that point I asked for more money because I may have to take some unpaid time because my time off is very important to me. They gave me the additional money I asked for.

Thank you for the advice. This is super helpful 👍

Doesn't hurt to negotiate! And if at any time they make you feel like you're troubling them for asking, that's a red flag.

You have every right to ask for what you've worked hard for.

So I work for a multimillion dollar company
Here’s my dilemma. I started as a temp in the traffic department as a scheduler in April of 2021. I was making 44K a year with ZERO benefits.
I applied for a different position in logistics and got the job! BUT is came with a HUGE pay cut. I went from making 44K a year to 32K. I work my butt off and feel like I should be making more for my responsibilities. I’ve only been here a year but I do more than I should.
Is it too soon to renegotiate my pay?
