A friend and I recently started playing golf and are looking to take some lessons together. Any recommendations for locations? We’re both on the west side and prefer to stay in that area if possible!
As stressful as this time is, it's also a YUGE opportunity for a nation-wide teachable moment. We're being tested as families, communities, schools and a nation. Also, it will be interesting to see what distance learning is like as it will be more common in the future. I think it would be a good compare/contrast lesson for kids when they come back and maybe it will get them to appreciate brick and mortar school a little bit more...
Biggest regret? I know mistakes teach us lessons and we wouldn’t be who we are without them. But I also believe it’d have been better to avoid some of them. Me for example, trying to make an unhealthy long distance high school to college relationship work for two years. Major regret
Anyone here ever worked with a vocal coach? I need recommendations for a lesson or two before auditioning for a pseudo professional chorus group...
Had a very special important day this week. Ex congratulated me over text “congrats”, i jokingly asked ”you not gonna call me?” 10 hours later he rang while I was in a language lesson. So i picked up
What are your lessons learned from the Babyface vs. Teddy Riley “event” (not even considering that the battle)?
Anyone know of a good place for couples’ dance lessons in the area? Preferably private, not group.
My house got egged and tped over the weekend. I took it upon myself to reach out to the parents and let them know I've already called the cops but wanted to reach out to you first before the cop shows up on your door. 1 set of parents immediately shifted blame to me and bashed me as a teacher and told me they think I have it out for their son and didn't address the situation at hand. How can I move forward with this situation?
Are you finding it easy or challenging to translate your "in person" lessons to an online format?
Thinking about getting into the market but it’s too risky since the premium is high and the fundamentals are murky. A lesson that I learned is that patience is needed in this environment.

My 3 year old takes private swim lessons at the local school but his teacher that he’s known for 5 months found another job. His new swim teacher seems nice but my son hates him, asks us nonstop during the week if it’s swim lesson day, has thrown a fit for the first few minutes of every lesson the last 4 times but then seems to have a fun time (I sit and watch). I ask him what’s going on and if the new teacher is mean, and he says no the new teacher is nice but he doesn’t like him...cont’d
Today I lost my mind on a client until they relented and gave me what I wanted. This seems like a bad lesson to learn... Meh who cares
Spent 4 hr flight crafting cover letter to a dream exit op with an NGO. When I went to upload, was notified that the op is no longer open 🤦🏻♀️ Lesson learned, jump on ops as soon as you find them!!

Manager texted me at ~10pm asking for a non-critical update. I chose not to respond (until morning) because I don't want to allow a bad habit to form. Thoughts?
I just moved from Europe to America and trying to understand the setup of American sports. So for each league if you finish last you get first draft pick.. this is incentivizing losing. In Europe, if you finish last you’re relegated. Am I missing something or it it normal to incentivize losing teams here? And what is the purpose?
I had an interview at a company where there is only one person of colour and <5 women in leadership. CHRO is putting out fires and doesn’t have time to make it a top priority yet but wants to.
I’m a male with short/medium hair that is long enough that I can curl it to have a perm look. My question: Is the perm style hair any less professional than say the traditional middle part combed to the sides? I recognize it is 2021 but I also recognize the business world is behind the times. Don’t want to make any “bad” professional decisions. For context: For work I always do the middle part but as soon as work is over I switch my hair back to my perm look.
Just moved into an apartment with built-in flower beds, but have never planted anything in my life. Should I look for individual flowers, or a get a few long bins like the one showed here with flowers already planted? Any tips greatly appreciated!
Is switching firms at the M/SM level a good idea, or likely to set you back given how important internal networks and sponsorship for promotion are?
So recruiter just called and I was giving her the feeling that I am excited to join but in my mind, I don't think I will. If I decline the formal offer letter, will I burn the bridge?
