How is the work life balance in Citi?
Here is the scenario: Have 2 offers from IT MNCs and 1 from Citi. Citi's offer is the highest. Almost 5 lakhs diff in the fixed component. Although money is important, but I am also seeking a little balance with life. I was previously in ZS Associates and to be frank, life was hell. I am not looking to relive that phase again.
What are the daily actual working hours?
Shall I join Citi or let go it for a lower package offer?
Seeking honest advice here.

Supervisor is like a third year senior, you’ll have some work that will be at the manager level and some work that’ll be senior level. Typically anyone thats a supervisor gets promoted to manager within a year if they are performing well.
While I think it was bad form to spring the Supervisor role on you at the offer stage, I also think it would be tough to negotiate to come in as Manager from B4 Senior role. Supervisor is a common entry point for more experienced staff. I’ve seen some experienced hires receive a quick promo to Manager after onboarding as a Supervisor (even one well under a year). But you’ll need to perform very well to make that leap within a year. Essentially you’ll need to prove ability to perform at the Manager level, including taking proactive client management and business development initiative. Otherwise most take 2-3 years at Supervisor level for the promo.
Thank you for your perspective!
Thank you! That’s super weird because the role I applied and interviewed for was a manager role but no one mentioned anything until I got the offer letter.. Almost feels like a bait & switch?
It’s very rare they would hire someone that was a SA straight into a manger position. Also could be they considered you for a manager position and just based on interviews decided to go with supervisor. But agreed they should have mentioned that early on the process.
If in consulting it’s typically more than 1 year at super. But if your title here is project manager I would really fight for manager role instead
Yeah I have 5+ years project management experience and serve as a lead for 2 program areas in my current role.. I’m just questioning if it makes sense to go from Big 4 to RSM for a lateral move. Thank you for your input!!
I’d turn it down
Never understood why this position existed lol, but yeah it’s basically a combo between the two. Experienced senior associates from other firms usually come in as supervisors at RSM and get promoted within a year or two.
Hey folks..I have an interview round with the partner/senior manager for financial services, audit. Can someone please guide me what all questions can I expect from both technical and behavioral point? TIA
