No.
You can say you work at spacex
Double down at accenture for 2 years, then do MBA. You can always pivot back to aerospace out of business school
You have a passion in that industry?
From a purely careeer perspective- I think it'll boil down to how strong your network is at accenture and whether you like the folks @spacex. If you have a strong network, you can get on interesting projects, otherwise I'd leave for the best in an industry Im interested in with ppl I mesh with.
Did you apply directly to Space X or get head hunted?
Just go work for spaceX . It will be great on your resume for b- school applications. If you don't like spaceX Accenture or other firms are not going anywhere, neither is erp
FFS it's god damn spacex. Leave now!!!
You seem to be young in your twenties. Go work there. The worst thing that could happen is you may hate the work or culture but that opportunity may not knock on your door again. Go take a little risk, be adventurous. It may also be a life changing experience
A1, yes, it's an industry that I want to get back into. Not sure if it's worth giving up all the things that I have now though. I don't care about doing more ERP work. I'm also thinking of going back to school in the next 2-3 years for an MBA or a masters in analytics.
Do you think SpaceX would be a good company to have on a resume for MBA applications?
Business analyst for their ERP system?
If so, it sounded like the role was getting acclimated to Warp and then manning a help desk fielding questions from users and triaging tickets for product managers (got to final round for this position)
EM1, I applied directly on the website
Do you have to live in Harlingen, TX?
I've heard awful things about Tesla and not sure SpaceX would be much different. Musk is a visionary and his companies are awesome, but he's an incredible work addict and runs his employees into the ground
Point of me saying that is unless your vision and passion is deep rooted and motivated by Musks direction, may find yourself swimming in really deep water. If you're looking to work there JUST to say you worked there, don't do it. It's an incredibly rigorous culture. You need to be 100% bought in and fueled by the vision
Former engineer here... I would love to work at SpaceX (or Tesla for the matter) as an engineer because you truly are working to build something that's never been done before... as a biz analyst though doing ERP, the fact that it's a spaceship is almost irrelevant to your day to day. I agree with others here, unless you believe in this mission, find something that's the right fit or stick it out till bschool
A3, yeah that's the one. Did you turn them down?
To clarify, I was applying for product manager not BA. Didn't get an offer. From what I understand BAs should aim to get promoted to PM with 3-4 years
