I have heard that Goldman Sachs is rescinding offers of temporary contract workers. I have an offer letter from Goldman Sachs Bangalore for a full time permanent role and am already on notice period. There is still 2 months for the joining date. Is there a hiring freeze coming? If yes, will they rescind offers that have already been made? Goldman Sachs

Has anyone used the Portfolio Group?
Approximate comp? I would ask about
1. Perception of legal by business people (ie necessary evil, cost Center, business partner, etc)
2. Use of outside legal firms
3. Biggest risk to the business
That’s just me
What year are you?
I mean you should've asked all the questions as part of the interview process.
Legal team culture plus any questions about your managers management style should have already been asked, but if not, ask ASAP.
Thanks 👍🏻

I'd ask about potential for growth/promotion/how they envision scaling the legal department. That will tell you a lot about your salary potential over time.
I'd ask about their total compensation philosophy--do they do refresh or promo grants? Bonuses?
I'd ask about your functional growth--will your role be narrow? Broad?
I'd ask about the company's fiscal year. Is it calendar? Are you commercial? The holidays may be shot every year as you close deals.
I'd ask about the company's funding, burn rate and runway because that'll tell you when a financing is next coming down the pike.
Very helpful! Thanks so much.
Keep in mind that you can ask all the questions that you want but you can't hold anybody to the answers that you get.... Answers received during interview are not guarantees of future developments....
