Received my biometrics appointment notice today! EB3, I-485 filed at the end of Oct. Can someone tell me when is the medical/health exam needed? In the instruction my lawyer sent, the next step is to receive the EAD card, and no mention of medical exam. But I heard lots of others mentioned they needed to do the medical exam before the interview?

Yes. Ask the lawyer.

My lawyer made me do the medical with I-485. Just regular STDs and TB checks, and vaccinations.

My lawyer didn’t mention anything yet, I prob should reach out to them. Thanks!

Congrats. I was where you are 6 years ago. Hang in there tiger.

Thank you!!!

Medical exam will be needed for i485,you either get a rfe to submit it or instructed to carry it for the interview...

Gotcha, thank you!

If you’re Indian, I would expect further retrogression post-COVID so I would hold off on getting your medical. Is your PD still current?

Yup still current, and I’m non-Indian. Thanks!

OP, when did you get your receipt of notice? Just checking to know the timelines between when you received the notice and when you got the biometrics appointment. TIA!

What’s your processing center?
