Received offer from BCG for ECT AD role. Read numerous comments about ECT being not attractive compared to Generalists track. Also heard challenges about billability/utilization. Any views/guidance is appreciated.

Background - I am not super keen to become an equity partner and comfortable to stay on ECT track. Main reason to join will be opportunity to work with different clients, smart talented people and good brand. I may consider going back to industry after 3-5 years in ECT.

Looking to get into SaaS sales but my experience is in construction and fine furniture (I was a sales manager and was able to lead my team of 4 people to consistently hit 450k monthly targets). I am expecting an offer from Master Card for Senior Software Engineer position in O Fallon MO. Please let me know what kind of base salary I can expect with 11 yrs experience . A consistent piece of feedback on my yearly reviews has been that I over-bill & spend too much time on assignments. It’s something I actively work on, but I still have no concrete sense of how long I should spend on basic tasks (e.g., drafting a motion to dismiss). My firm is right to expect that I manage my time better as a mid-level associate. WFH has made my time management worse.
