Received offer from Booz Allen Hamilton as Principal in Washington DC. $215k base, annual bonus up to 40% of base ($85k) second annual performance bonus up to $30k, and a $15k sign on. Fair offer?

Doesn’t sound low. It’s above the mid-point for salary band for base. (Basing this on actual knowledge. Work in HR).

I used to work at Booz. Is it just me or does this sound low? Bonus appears reasonable, but salary and sign on seem low. Also, god help you if you support the VA.

Comp seems on target for that level. I would caution you that BAH is very, very relationship driven. And not much can get done without having 99000 people sign off on it.

I’m a senior manager at PwC. The increase to my current base is 23%. 15 relevant YOE. I don’t have an MBA, but cyber masters. The role is in their cyber practice.

Signing is very low. Signing is approx. $30k for people right out of MBA at consulting firms (and you’re coming in at a Principal level). $50k (min) is reasonable and market signing bonus; $60-75k not unheard of. I’d say start with $60k and be willing to go down to $50k.
