State both. $x (current) $y (effective 10/1).

BGC salary number should have no bearing since you've already negotiated the new numbers. Go with the actual figures as of today, not 10/01

like

Use the 10/1 numbers because you would need them to give a bump over that number for it to make sense for you to move. But be honest and tell them what that number is.

like

OP go with the current salary, no 10/1 as you will have to provide either pay stub or worknumber . If HR comes back and ask why your salary is less that what you mentioned earlier, explain it to him. I was at similar situation and used so called 10/1 salary in BC and my offer was delayed by 2 months coz they were not able to verify my salary

like

^ I would say this is a good idea. If you don't have option to add both salaries then mention current salary in BC and send an email to Recruiter with both salaries and explanation. FYI, first check BC team does is to verify BC application with input received by Recruiter

Por que no los dos?

Work number has all information. They will login and extract everything:) Good luck playing hide and seek

They've already made an offer with salary numbers. So salary negotiations are over. Should I still go with the current salary or 10/1 numbers knowing this?

Background checks are only to catch people in lies so they know not to hire you. The employer doesn't review your info unless they're given a red flag or you're caught in a lie.

If the form doesn't let you put both - then put in the 10/1 number. In a comments section simply put "I have been awarded a salary increase to the level identified above, effective 10/1. Prior to this my salary was $Y."

I ended up putting in the current number. And in the comments section mentioned both the current and 10/1 number

Learn this now. Know your worth / value on the open market. Do research and homework to arrive at a figure and have reasons to back it up. Your next company's comp structure should not be your base + a %. If you think you can command a dollar figure, irrespective of what you currently make, ask for it.

All negotiations with D were based on current salary
