Kevin Gates once said: "I got 2 phones, one for the plug and one for the load. I got 2 phones, one for the bitches and one for the dough." TL;DR: Go with 2.
I'm assuming you are asking whether you should have a personal and a work phone. It's a waste of money to have a personal phone at PwC because there's no point when you should be without your work phone. That's the whole reason they pay for it - so that you are available whenever they want you. So unless you're used to surfing some kinky websites on your phone, just have the 1 phone that pdubs pays for!
I have two phones. I disagree with @pwc1, I don't take my work phone everywhere. If you create boundaries people will respect them.
You don't have to have two phones to set boundaries. You just have to communicate expectations with your engagement teams, which I've found people are pretty good about respecting. I know a few people who had two phones but then went to one. PwC will pay for unlimited use. I know someone who used their phone to tether instead of buying Internet for home and would stream Netflix and whatnot and still never heard a word about using too much data
I've got one phone. One key boundary-setting thing I've done is to turn off push notifications on my work email on my phone. Did it two years or so ago and never looked back, even though I told myself I'd turn it back on during busy season. It's done wonders for my psyche- no more hearing the little "ding" at 11 PM and seeing that it's just a pointless firmwide email or something. If something is truly on fire people have my number.
One. I'm expected to always see my email. Also, 2 phones looks ridiculous.
I agree with Pwc1. I had two and came from the dark side into the light. I love it and the savings.
