EY India openings for AI/ ML

Hey fishes, What's the ideal pay scale for business management analyst role in BIG 4.
I had a interview call scheduled with EY but they called at the last moment and cancelled the interview saying that they can't match the expected CTC. And can only provide CTC 12lkhs.
My current CTC at HSBC is 14 lakhs for 3.9 yoe and i expected 17lkhs.
Is my expected CTC above average?

For those who work/interviewed with Meta Facebook (Meta) did you have another interview after your virtual on-site loop?
Recruiter initially said next step after loop was an offer if selected, now she’s telling me they loved me but want to deep dive into my response to the case study, so one more case interview.
Is this strange?
Is there talk of mid-year promotions in UKI?

You should be raising the issue that they need to either promote you or backfill the boss. That way you have provided a warning.

That’s a them problem not a you problem. You’re leaving for some reason that they haven’t addressed. They should be prepared for this outcome.
I want such nice employees. Who put there bosses/firms first before their own lives ❤️

Of course, they are hiring. Everyone is hiring. Demand for employees great, supply limited.
Ask for promotion, let them know you have offers lined up
Given that I just received the promotion in the last few weeks I think I’d have to go with the telling them to backfill for bosses former position option. Wouldn’t want to play the offers lined up card until I actually have one lined up.
They need to plan for turnover, not you. If they do their job and backfill swiftly with capable people, things should be fine. If they try to make you do double duty while they drag their feet, and then things fall apart when you leave, that's on them for failure to act appropriately.
