Hi Fishes
I have completed the HR manger round on Oct 4th in Tata Elxsi ... Still I didn't receive my offer ...HR told it's pending with compensation team and now he told it's pending with BU head .. it's worth waiting ... Is they consider counter offers for CTC?? Deloitte GPS Business Analyst vs Mercer Health Consulting Analyst?
Deloitte's offer is 7K more and in a cheaper area. Equal interest in both jobs, slight preference for Mercer for people + culture. Leaning towards Mercer because I graduate in Dec and can start in Jan vs having to wait until next summer for Deloitte + location (although higher COL)
Concerns:
Exit opportunities
Pigeonhole-ing myself into health consulting / How hard would it be to join Big 4 in a year or two if I don't like it

So...why did you decide to stick it out?
75k is a lot for an AE. Ask them for a title change. Then go trade on the new Sup title on the open market.
Yeah, it sounds like you should leave
Def. look for another gig.
BYE FELICIA. An agencies health is first and formost expressed in compensation because one of the biggest edges any has when doing well is to pay the most for the best talent - if they can't match that which in the grand scheme is not very much money + the other clues I would be 100% confident there's trouble ahead. Best to you, sounds like you are in demand based on getting an offer recently for more so stick it out!
Not being able to match is a total lie, btw. It’s a principle the company is choosing to stand by.

I think you know the answer to your question... Leave.
☝️ stick it out as in hang in there you'll get another soon
Did you turn down the $75k offer knowing all of that about your current agency or did the people get laid off/quit after you turned down the offer?
Not matching that salary is a statement about how much they value you. You should’ve left
What EVP1 said.
Look for another gig, obvs
You should have got that more money, honey.
This probably sucks to hear, but you should have told your current company that you had an offer and then given then a couple days to see if they could match. You don't really have any bargaining power anymore. That said, if you're now at 68, you should be able to negotiate up to the mid-80s if you look for a new job.
Thanks for all the replies. I knew we weren’t doing too well, but I work on the newest and most promising account and have been on it since onboarding in the spring. The clients repeatedly tell the leadership that they love me. I love the account and clients back (let’s be real that’s rare!). With everyone’s departure I feel like I can play a big role. I stayed because I figure this is the best time in my career to take a risk (no kids, no mortgage, no problem lol). EVP 1, I think that’s exactly what I wanted to hear. A title change would be great. And then yes, an even better offer in the coming months. Thank you everyone!!!
More context: company isn’t too hot and supposedly under the scrutiny of HQ. We’re a small office and lost 80% of the accounts this year leaving us with very little. It’ll be me solely me working on the last big piece of business for the time being possibly with a little oversight from the one remaining GAD (if he hasn’t already found another job) or the current president
Difference between 68k vs 75k is nothing. Look to make a move and when you can negotiate a larger increase
