If I were you I would take it. Slalom is an excellent company.

Thanks D1, I guess I’m wondering what they’ll have me work in since ServiceNow isn’t a solution they usually offer. Will probably bring it up in my conversation today. I’m definitely leaning into accepting the offer but I want to make sure I’m not leaving a great situation for something that I don’t like.

I worked at Slalom but boomeranged back to big 4. Slalom lacks in training and learning opportunities. You’ll work with the same people frequently, which can be good or bad. Less prestige, but working with local clients could get you in the door at a company in your region. Otherwise I imagine Deloitte’s exit opps would be better. Slalom wlb was very good in my experience.

Have you interviewed with other firms? Slalom is known to pay lower because of better work-life balance.

4YOE doing PM work at 110 is not a bad offer

like

If your doing PM work at either firm your exit ops will likely be the same.... PM work. You don’t really build out much of a transferable skill set when it comes to those roles.

If you end up moving ask for a sign-on bonus in the range of your forfeited bonus

smart

That’s true D1, not really sure what the “more AIP than usual” looks like

Got an offer from a big firm. I’m currently working at a small firm. The pay increase would be about 20% not including bonus. My concern with big law is obviously the stress level and billable hours but the small firm life concerns me long term because there’s only currently 6 lawyers and we just lost an office.
