Recently graduated and received an MBA should I expect a pay increase? I have been in my current role for about 3 years and have had increased responsibilities outside of my current scope.

An MBA in and of itself will not magically unlock a raise in your current role/company, unless that's their policy. You would likely have to get an internal promotion or switch companies. Good news is that the MBA helps in that regard. Best of luck!

I did not receive a pay increase after I graduated, had to change roles. Have you had your annual review yet?

I have had about 4 new managers in 1 year which is why I have taken on additional responsibility as in the interim I was backfilling for the “open” position. Since these responsibilities have become mine in my current role. I don’t have the best relationship with my current manager yet so the comfort is not there. I have voiced my desire to my director on continued advancement as well with my current manager. I have take on these “stretch” assignments and additional responsibilities.

The MBA isn’t the trigger but your responsibilities are. Over three years, you are probably more than ready for an increase. Please feel free to use the free app that I’m building to negotiate your pay. It has guides and scripts and you should definitely do it.

Currently working as an in-house SEO for a big ecommerce company (fortune 500). Currently earning 65K CAD. Contemplating a position for SEO manager on another company, SaaS B2B, very small office (<50people), pay around 80-100K. It's not a startup.

Did anyone made a move like this? From a big company (SEO team has 5+ people) to a very small company? I'm worried about job security and how stressful this new position would be, considering I'll be the only SEO professional there.

Recently promoted. Managing 4 direct reports, which essentially means I’m managing an entire department (it’s small company). Offered a 10% increase, which according to my research is low. Is it possible to ask for too high of a salary during an interview?

I had an interview end early because they couldn't match my salary ask despite me being a "perfect candidate" (their words). The range was the same/lower than what I currently make, and their role was for a more senior position. I gave a highball range but I figured there would be some negotiating. Maybe that company just isn't the right fit for me, but I'm just thrown off by how quickly the call ended after that.

Hello all. My company just went through an acquisition and the company did some restructuring of job titles. When they did this we were all advised the company would be making sure our jobs pay aligned with the national average.
My issue with this is my job title went from a Technical Support Supervisor to a Customer Success Team Lead. I have voiced my concerns with management but have been advised job titles are semantics. In my eyes this is a demotion, and will affect how much my job is worth.

I’m about to accept a position at an information services company for a marketing coordinator position. They are offering 62k out of a 55k-65k range that I was quoted, and that aligns with my research. It’s much more than what I’m making now, but I thought it would be smart to run this by you all before signing the dotted line. This would be my first time as a marketing coordinator—I’m bringing in 5+ years from an adjacent industry to the table, if that gives perspective. WDYT? Thank you!

I had my first interview today for a director position I would consider a dream role, and it went well. They want me to talk to the VP, but I found out I would definitely have to relocate to a different state to execute tasks.

The salary is within range of what I would accept, but I just moved to a different state.

I want to leverage this, and follow up with the hiring with another place (similar position in my current city and state) I haven’t heard from yet. Do you think that’s wise to do?
