Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?

Never had an issue, sounds like your border agent was in a bad mood. Your internal team should be able to help you...
They told the border guard they were denied at YYZ and just explained their situation, aka still being a management consultant but a different title and not a people manager. The dude was nice and he approved the visa
Was it at Toronto airport or Windsor border crossing?
YYZ is notorious for refusing TN applications. YVR and YYC are much more lenient
Anyone know if it is safer to apply remotely/digitally instead of at the border?
I always picture a nightmare scenario where I get denied while all my stuff is packed up with me ready to move, or left in the US if I’m renewing at the border!!
SS1 - They will still let you into the country as a visitor but with no rights to work in the US
Go back to consultant title. You may be denied again if you try with manager. I had an RFE after applying by mail and we decided I should reapply at the Niagara Falls border and it was unpleasant but successful. The last few years has been much harder on approvals than prior years.

File TN petition with USCIS under premium processing and if necessary travel with approval to border. It’s generally a tougher route and you’ll have to prepare a more in-depth application.
I have been living in the US as a visitor for 4 months now, and my employer is preparing my application under premium processing. Do they ever question why I was in the US as a visitor for 4 months?
We are trying to make a stronger case and even if the application needs to be in-depth for premium processing they are fine, just don't want the border scarier
