Recently laid off (COVID practice cuts, analyst level) but want to keep my mind sharp while I’m working with my network about positions. Is anyone aware of where I may be able to find projects that I can do project support on? Money is not as much of a concern as keeping my skills sharp and staying busy. Haven’t had much luck with the contractor sites for Big4 as the demand looks high and I’m an analyst. Thanks!

I switched 20 days back to Optum. I have 7 years of experience working as a full stack Engineer, who is passionate working on both front end and back end on latest technologies. But my project is working only on back end with 10 years old tech stack. There is no front end work at all. What should I do?

I wanted to gauge what is a general salary that ones been offered on this team. I felt lowballed at $79k/annual, initially offered 74k. This is given that I had 1.5 years in land use planning and a recent masters graduate in urban planning.

Hi everyone! Idk if I need advice or I’m venting but I’ve been looking for jobs actively right now and want to make a switch soon. There’s a gap in terms or compensation for the jobs I’m being approached for. These jobs offer the same compensation I’m at or slightly higher (5-7%). This is demotivating and I honestly don’t know what to do. I don’t make an awful lot (105K in NYC) and I’m looking for a 20-30% bump in terms of compensation. Am I crazy here?
