I took a new job 3 months ago. They upgraded my title to be a department manager. My roles and responsibilities have been changing every few weeks and my salary is below national average for a nonprofit development manager. I was willing to work with them as they grow but recently my boss has been having rageful outbursts when she doesn’t get what she wants and often has unrealistic timeline expectations as she doesn’t understand how our database system works. Is this salvageable? I hate it.

My new employer sent me a work laptop and today in an onboarding call, the HR said that all employer laptops have an ActivTrak monitoring system and anyone who is away for more than 20 minutes will immediately get a call about less than a number of hours. I am thinking of buying a jiggler mouse which keeps moving on the screen so that it keeps the status active but I'm not sure whether the laptop can detect this or not.
