Definitely b6 my OB recommended no more than 50mg and having something to eat the moment you get up.
It took me a long time to realize that it’s the empty stomach that’s making my morning sickness worse.
I was taking it in the morning
Half a unisom and b6 (google diceglis) before bed kept me human, and CITRUS! When I got to about 9 weeks I’d have to take it twice a day but it went away completely around 13 weeks. Good luck!
Before bed, held me over for a full day for a few weeks, then I took another mid day once that wasn’t enough. I tried to line it up with diceglis dosing. It was rough because I did get tired but at least I wasn’t puking lol.
Honestly, tell your manager. That’s what I did, and I got an incredible amount of support. I was off camera when I needed to be. I blocked my calendar off when I needed to. And my MD and the team I was working with stepped in to help and cover anything I couldn’t do due to feeling ill
Unfortunately I’m only at 6 weeks and haven’t even told family yet, so I don’t know if I’m there yet.. but if I can’t find any remedies that work, I will have to let them know ASAP. I’m so glad to hear you had a positive experience sharing!
Update: I’ve been taking unisom & b6 before bed, and then eating toast the second I wake up, and then eating every two-ish hours with supplemental ginger candies/ginger ale and I still can’t get out of bed the nausea is so bad. I’m either thinking I’m on the verge of throwing up, or I’m actually getting sick. I’m also getting super light headed and dizzy and slightly out of breathe if I stand up too long, which has basically rendered me a couch/bed hopper. Is it time to call the doc for something more substantial? It’s been over a week
I got a prescription for Zofran over the weekend because my nausea has been unbearable. It works, but the side effects are terrible (i.e., dizziness, heart palpitations).
