What’s a good side hustle ?
EY, I got my Roth IRA contributions set to max (30%). Does Fidelity automatically lower the % and stop contributions afterwards once I reach my 2022 limit?
Also at Deloitte, I had a couple thousand contributed in the beginning of the year. Does EY's 401k keep track of that as well towards the limit?
McKinsey & Company Does working at a McKinsey subsidiary or specialist practice open doors similar to working in generalist consulting there? Examples include Orpheus, Finalta, QuantumBlack and other acquired companies. Can you work there for 1-2 years and benefit from a halo effect that helps you enter industry more easily? Probably not, but maybe ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Kick butt, show you can do it. That’s the best leverage you can get
Crush the project and then use this successful example as promotion fodder on your next review. Consider this a test :)
If the manager was doing their job well, they probably gave you a pretty clear roadmap to follow for the next few months. This is certainly a great opportunity for you, but I wouldn’t go so far as to say you’re “managing” quite yet.
Operating at a manager level on a single project for a few months is not a justification for promotion (especially given you mentioned that you’ve recently been promoted to Sr). You need to demonstrate this consistently over time in multiple project to be able to make that case.
No.
I’m being put in this situation as a Consultant :(
No
Nope. That’s just expected as part of your training.
